The Standard Systems Group at Gunter Air Force Base in Maxwell, Alabama, awarded IAI a contract to convert three million lines of mainframe-based COBOL from its proprietary Unisys 2200 mainframe environment to Micro Focus COBOL on an Oracle-driven UNIX platform with a J2EE web-enabled user interface. The project was successfully completed with better than expected functionality and operating performance.
